Sparwood welcomed in the holiday season with a Christmas Tree Lighting event on Nov. 21
Hosted by the Sparwood & District Art and Heritage Council, the community gathered to watch festive lights turn on, on a giant Christmas tree in Centennial Plaza
Attendees were treated hot chocolate from Sparwood Dental, and warmed themselves at a bonfire with the fire department.
Students from Frank J. Mitchell sung Christmas carols and the big jolly old fellow made an appearance to greet the youth.
