Stolen power tools from Sparwood area seized by police

On Oct. 22, RCMP recovered stolen power tools from a vehicle near Brocket, AB

Power tools that were seized by police during an arrest near Brocket, AB, are likely to have been stolen from Sparwood or Crowsnest Pass.

Piikani Nation RCMP recovered a Husqvarna gas chainsaw, Milwaukee cordless electric chainsaw, a metal detector, and a brad nailer with a charger and three batteries from a vehicle on Oct. 22. RCMP found the vehicle lying in the ditch with a missing wheel along Highway 3 near Brocket, and began a search after drug paraphernalia was found inside in plain view.

The vehicle's occupants, Asia Wilson, 22, and John Garszczal, 34, were placed under arrest for outstanding warrants. They were both charged with drug and weapon-related offences. 

Police are asking the owner of the power tools or anyone who knows the owners, to call Piikani Nation RCMP at 403-965-2000.
