• n Sparwood at 11:47 a.m. two vehicles were involved in an accident. Injuries were reported.
• n Fernie at 2:09 p.m. a complainant reported a suspicious vehicle.
• n Fernie at 3:56 p.m. a ticket was issued under the Liquor Control Licensing Act.
• n Sparwood at 4:59 p.m. shots were heard. This case was possibly a hunter.
• n Fernie at 6:46 p.m. an individual, possibly a hunter was walking with a large knife in a sheath. The complainant was concerned.
• n Sparwood at 6:46 p.m. an erratic driver was reported. A Chevy 3/4 ton, was driving at high speeds in a residential area.
• n Fernie at 7:25 p.m. an individual was causing a disturbance and becoming violent. Two individuals were transported to the Elk Valley Hospital and one was held for evaluation.
• n Sparwood at 8:25 p.m. there was a domestic disturbance.
• n Sparwood at 9:26 p.m. a person reported that dogs were barking a lot at the back of their fence.
Tuesday, September 13
• n Sparwood at 12:40 a.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported.
• n Sparwood at 6:03 a.m. an abandoned vehicle was reported.
• n Sparwood at 7:03 a.m. there were cattle near the road.
• n Fernie at 9:36 a.m. a white Honda or Toyota was reported for speeding and passing on double solid lines.
• n Elko at 9:59 a.m. two cattle liners were speeding and tail gaiting.
• n Sparwood at 10:50 a.m. a suspicious vehicle was reported for stunting and speeding. The truck was a blue Ford with B.C. plates.
• n Fernie at 11:05 a.m. there was an abandoned 911 call.
• n Elko at 12:47 p.m. lumber was stolen from the lumber mill. The suspect cut up lumber, loaded it in his pickup and fled. This matter is still under investigation.
• n Elkford at 1:15 p.m. an abandoned vehicle was reported.
• n Sparwood at 6:05 p.m. there was a false residential alarm.
• n Sparwood at 7:03 p.m. there was an abandoned 911 call.
• n Fernie at 9:24 p.m. an intoxicated female fell and was bleeding. The female was located and she was transported to the hospital where she received medical attention. When she was released from the hospital she received a ticket for being drunk in public and was lodged in a cell until she was sober.
• n Fernie at 9:47 p.m. there was a motor vehicle accident.
• n Sparwood at 11:17 p.m. there was a suspected motor vehicle accident. The complainant heard a bang, looked outside and saw that a truck had hit a pole. Police attended and located the vehicle. The noise was actually a large flat screen that had fallen over and smashed into the vehicle and it had not hit a pole.
• n Sparwood at 11:35 p.m. a suspicious male was reported.
Wednesday, September 14
• n Sparwood at 6:29 a.m. there was an abandoned 911 call.
• n Fernie at 7:58 a.m. cattle were reported on the highway.
• n Fernie at 9:46 a.m. a complainant reported a suspicious vehicle.
• n Fernie at 9:53 a.m. a pickup was parked in an intersection and was creating a hazard to other motorists.
• n Sparwood at 10:39 a.m. a blue Envoy with B.C. plates was tail gaiting through a construction zone.
• n Fernie at 3:18 p.m. bullets were brought in to be destroyed.
• n Fernie at 4:14 p.m. a semi was driving erratically.
• n Elkford at 6:40 p.m. an injured deer was dispatched.
• n Fernie at 7:13 p.m. a red semi hauling lumber was reported to have an unstable trailer. The trailer was possibly overloaded.
• n Sparwood at 11:13 p.m. an assault was reported.
Thursday, September 15
• n Sparwood at 1:07 a.m. a loud party complaint was made.
• n Fernie at 3:17 a.m. a vehicle was broken into. Three vehicles in total were damaged during the night.
• n Fernie at 7:49 a.m. vandalism was reported to a financial institution. Rocks were thrown at the window. No entry was gained. Similar damage was also done to a downtown business.
• n Fernie 11:25 a.m. a beer keg was thrown through a Jeep window. This incident occurred sometime overnight.
• n Fernie at 11:32 a.m. a suspicious individual was looking through vehicle windows.
• n Fernie at 1:26 p.m. a suspicious individual was reported.
• n Fernie at 1:35 p.m. mischief was done to a vehicle.
• n Fernie at 2:35 p.m. a lost front licence plate was reported.
• n Fernie at 7:23 p.m. a vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle may have been located, but is not yet confirmed. The investigation is ongoing.
Friday, September 16
• n Fernie at 9:04 a.m. a rock was thrown through a garage door window sometime overnight.
• n Sparwood at 4:16 p.m. an erratic driver was reported.
• n Roosville a 4:32 p.m. an intoxicated individual was reported at the border crossing.
• n Sparwood at 4:50 p.m. a wallet was reported lost.
• n Sparwood at 11:03 p.m. there was a noise complaint.
Saturday, September 17
• n Fernie at 12:17 a.m. a ticket was issued under the Liquor Control Licensing Act.
• n Fernie at 1:01 a.m. a 12-hour driving prohibition was issued.
• n Elkford at 1:31 a.m. individuals at a hotel were fighting. Weapons were possibly involved. One male was arrested for causing a disturbance and mischief and one knife was seized. This matter is still under investigation.
• n Fernie at 1:40 a.m. a complainant reported individuals were yelling threats to each other. Alcohol was believed to be a factor.
• n Sparwood at 9:59 a.m. there was a possible fraud at a bank machine. An individual left their bank card in the ATM and money was missing from their account.
• n Elko at 11:45 a.m. an erratic driver was passing unsafely and tail gaiting.
• n Elkford at 12:43 p.m. there was an abandoned 911 call.
• n Fernie at 2:49 p.m. there was a neighbour dispute. This is an ongoing issue.
• n Sparwood at 3:31 p.m. there was a dispute between neighbours.
• n Sparwood at 4:24 p.m. the Sparwood Hospital requested police assistance to locate a patient.
• n Sparwood at 8:48 p.m. a suspicious occurrence was reported. An individual noticed their neighbour was smashing his trailer. Police attended and the individual had done significant damage and injured his wrist during the destruction. The individual was transported to the hospital and received stitches. The individual was then transported back to Sparwood and lodged in a cell due to his level of intoxication.

Sunday, September 18
• n Fernie at 12:18 a.m. a loud party was reported.
• n Roosville at 12:57 p.m. an overdue traveler was reported. The traveler was found safe and sound a short time after the call was placed.
• n Elkford at 3:15 p.m. a complaint reported kids were digging a tunnel in the sand. The complainant was concerned the tunnel may collapse on the children.
• n Fernie at 9:36 p.m. there were two suspicious individuals reported.
Monday, September 19
• n Sparwood at 7:01 a.m. there was an abandoned 911 call.
• n Elkford at 9:01 a.m. mischief was reported.
• n Sparwood at 11:05 a.m. there was a report of a hit and run involving a vehicle in a parking lot. Surveillance video is being looked at and the matter is under investigation.
• n Elkford at 12:07 p.m. a Kenwood handheld radio was reported lost.
• n Sparwood at 3:17 p.m. a complainant reported an intoxicated individual leaving a business. The vehicle was located and the driver was intoxicated. The driver was charged with impaired driving and impaired over 80.
• n Fernie at 3:29 p.m. harassment was reported.
• n Elkford at 5:43 p.m. there was a report that an individual had been bitten by a dog. The individual sought medical attention for a tetanus shot. This incident is still under investigation.
• n Fernie at 7:30 p.m. harassment was reported.
• n Fernie at 11:51 p.m. a vehicle hit an elk. Significant damage was done to the vehicle but the occupant had no injuries.
