Lineup announced for Fernie music festival

Black Pistol Fire to headline this year’s Wapiti Music Festival; early bird tickets now on sale

A high-octane rock duo based in Austin, Texas, will headline the 2019 Wapiti Music Festival in Fernie.

On March 1, organizers announced the lineup for this year’s event, which will be held at Annex Park from August 9-10.

Headline act Black Pistol Fire draws inspiration from blues, R&B and rock greats such as Led Zeppelin, Nirvana and Buddy Holly, and promise to deliver a “gritty and dynamic performance fueled by undeniable musicianship”.

Victoria-based indie rock band Current Swell is also on the line up, along with Jeremie and the Delicious Hounds, Fake Shark, Carmanah, Nuela Charles, The Steve Brockely Band, The Parsons and Mountain Sound.
