The first ‘Business, Banter and Beer’ event in over two years is set for May 18 at the Fernie Hotel and Pub.

“We are so excited to be bringing back our Business, Banter and Beer networking events!” reads a release from the Fernie Chamber of Commerce.

The events take place on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

“This is an opportunity to connect with your fellow Fernie Chamber Members in a casual setting over drinks and appies. You will hear what the Chamber is up to, as well as hear from the host business.”

The events are hosted by local businesses on a rotating roster.

“We know many businesses are eager to host a BBB, we are currently scheduling businesses who were cancelled in 2020. Keep an eye on our newsletters and social media for when we start scheduling for 2023.”

After the May 18 event, a June 15 event is planned at the Elk Valley Furniture Studio.

“Make sure you register in advance! Numbers are required to ensure capacity, food and beverages are provided accordingly.

“Stay tuned for dates for the remainder of the year.”
