Christmas farmers market upcoming in Jaffray

It’s the 31st annual rendition of ‘Christmas in the Country Farmers’ Market’

Two days of a Christmas farmers market are coming up in Jaffray next weekend.

The 31st annual ‘Christmas in the Country Farmers’ Market’ will be taking place on Saturday (Nov. 5) and Sunday (Nov. 6) at the Jaffray Community Hall (7369 Jaffray Village Loop Rd.), according to a release from Treanne and Shaun See, market managers with the Jaffray-Baynes Lake Farmers’ Market.

The Saturday market will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Sunday market will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“There is no better way to get into the holiday spirit than sipping hot cocoa and strolling amongst the friendly vendors of the Jaffray-Baynes lake Farmers’ Market,” the release says.

“Artisans from throughout the East Kootenays and Western Alberta will be offering over 40 tables of unique gift ideas for the Christmas season.”

Christmas crafts, home decor, woodcrafts, children and adults clothing, toys, pottery, candles and jewelry, baked goods, chocolate, BC fruit and vegetables, meat and sausage, home preserves, and more will be available to buy.

There will also be an opportunity to visit with Santa on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We are very excited that Santa will be our SPECIAL GUEST on Sunday… So bring the kids and make the day even more special!”

There will also be homemade lunch and refreshments available at the concession throughout the day.

“The Christmas sale, along with the pleasant drive to Jaffray, makes for a great outing for the whole family!”

“There is no way you will leave this Holiday Market without a happy smile!”
