The general local elections are coming up on Oct. 15, and Elkford is set to have a new mayor and new faces on council for the next four years.
Elkford has two candidates for mayor and seven for council. The vote will lead to one mayor and six councillors.
The Free Press has interviewed all the candidates so that readers can have a better idea of who and what they will be voting for on Saturday. Here are all the interviews, in alphabetical order.

A candidate forum was held in Elkford on Sept. 28, which The Free Press covered. The event was dominated by the issues of healthcare and housing.
Voting on Oct. 15 will be available at the Elkford Community Conference Centre (750 Fording Drive), from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The deadline to submit mail ballot voting information is Oct. 13 at 4:30 p.m.
