In search of the Elk Valley’s best snowman builders, Fernie Alpine Resort (FAR) hosted The Ultimate Snowman Competition, having released their winners on Jan. 11 following public voting.
The contest encouraged participants to let their creative juices flow, resulting in 12 entries ranging from Downhill Dummy-inspired sculptures, to snowboarding snowmen.
Prizes were issued to a number of sculptures including the People’s Choice snowman, publicly voted for on FAR’s Facebook page, the Best Traditional Snowman, Best Snow Creature, Most Creative, Funniest Creation, and Best Family Entry.
