A father was sent to Foothills Hospital in Calgary last week after his son accidentally shot him in the buttocks with a rifle.
The Elk Valley RCMP received a call on Thursday, June 2, that a man had been shot in the buttocks after his son accidentally discharged the rifle at the Sparwood gun range.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Const. Sheena Fulton of the Elk Valley RCMP said that the RCMP is working with Crown prosecutors to determine whether there will be charges.
The father and son are not from the Elk Valley.
