Fernie Rotary donates another $1K to local causes

The local Rotary club is donating $1,000 a month for 10 months

Fernie Rotary have given away another $1,000 as part of their 100-year anniversary, with the funds for May donated to the South Country (Jaffray) Fire Department.

Fernie Rotarians Jennifer O’Donnell and Anita Palmer presented the $1,000 check to Wendy Van De Wyer last month, with Rotary thanking the Fire Department for the difference they made in the community.

Fernie Rotary will be giving away $1,000 a month to local charities and organizations for the next few months as part of their 100-year anniversary, with donations already made to the Sparwood Food Bank and the Rocky Mountain Village Auxiliary Society.
