Fernie SAR rescues injured biker

Fernie Search and Rescue was called out the evening of July 7 for a biker injured on the Lazy Lizard trail.

Fernie Search and Rescue was called out the evening of July 7 for a biker injured on the Lazy Lizard trail.

The biker, a 49 year old male from Calgary, fell off one of the trail bridges, sustaining a significant knee injury.

Fernie SAR technicians responded with a ground team and then heli-longlined the subject to BC Ambulance Service.
