2nd Fernie Brownie Unit

The 2nd Fernie Brownie Unit did an amazing job in collecting trash from the trail between the Stanford Inn and Dairy Queen at their recent meeting on April 14th.

The late winter chill and cold winds didn’t damper their spirits or enthusiasm to help clean up a part of their community.

Six large garbage bags of trash were collected - and ironically there was even a discarded vanilla-flavoured girl guide cookie amongst the garbage collection!

These Brownies are a dedicated and thoughtful group of kids and this is one example of their ongoing efforts to learn about and to take care of our environment.
