The flood warning issued yesterday by the B.C. Rivers Forecast Centre has been downgraded to a flood watch.

However, forecasters say they are still concerned about the Elk River's potential to flood, after heavy rainfall of between 25 to 50 mm over the past 24 hours.

A flood warning was issued yesterday when heavy rain raised the river level significantly.
