Teck are sending some employees home due to flooding on access roads.
Teck's Manager of Community and Aboriginal Affairs in Sparwood, Nic Milligan, said: "We are experiencing localized impact of heavy rains at our Elk Valley operations.
"Some access roads have been closed due to the rain and we have sent employees home from some sites as necessary.
"At this stage we do not expect any impact on production.
"We are continuing to assess the situation and we will issue updates as appropriate."
