UPDATE: Coquihalla re-opened following accident

The accident occured south of Merritt Saturday afternoon

UPDATE: The Coquihalla is open in both directions, after being closed due to an accident.

Highway 5 was closed in both directions mid-day Saturday, between Hope and Merritt near Comstock Road.

According to Drive BC, commuters should expect delays due to congestion into the afternoon.
