Fernie’s Mountain Market is back to it’s classic, pre-pandemic programming with between 40 and 60 vendors set to descend on Rotary Park for 12 Sundays starting July 3.
“It’s really exciting,” said Mountain Market manager, Dawn Deydey.
‘There were a lot of changes to be able to run through COVID-19 … and this is the first year where we’re heading back to our pre-COVID setup and it’s a huge deal, especially for our vendors because its been a tough two years.”
“The market’s going to feel so different (to the last two years),” said Deydey.
The 2022 Mountain Market season will be extended through September for the first time. In a typical year it runs in July and August, but with so much vendor and customer interest, it will be over three months.
“September is harvest time, so we’ve always hosted on and off events throughout September, but now it’s official,” said Deydey.
Mountain Market will be on at Rotary Park in Fernie on Sundays, between 10am and 2pm from July 3, to September 18.
