Joe Guy, one of the world’s last longriders, made a stop in Fernie this morning en route to the east coast, and made sure he grabbed a coffee downtown.
He was accompanied by his horse, and his son Zac, who chooses wheels instead of a horse to get around.
The Australian horseman has ridden 6,500 miles across his home country as well as 3,000 miles across the United States, and is now making his way across Canada, “chasing his dream” over the last 20 years.
He is a welcome face in Fernie, and stopped off in town earlier this year.
