Serious and not-so-serious athletes enjoyed a spring day for the Raging Elk Powder, Pedal, Paddle, held at Fernie Alpine Resort on Saturday.

As always, there were lots of fun costumes and plenty of smiles on the faces of competitors taking part in the fun 18 km relay race.

The teams and solo competitors skied, cycled, kayaked and ran their way along the course, with great support from spectators.

See this week’s edition of The Free Press for all the results.
