Police seek information surrounding accident in Sparwood, Saturday

The Elk Valley RCMP is investigating a Motor Vehicle Collision that occurred on Saturday, August 26th, 2017 at 3:20 p.m.

This investigation is believed to involve two separate complaints, one of which involves a motorist, who reported that a small Grey SUV or Crossover type vehicle nearly caused two collisions while driving on Crowsnest Highway 3 between Highway 22, Lumbreck Falls, Alberta to Sparwood, B.C.

Subsequently, police came upon the scene of a two-vehicle collision West of Sparwood involving a full-sized GMC pick-up truck and a Grey Mitsubishi Outlander.

Criminal charges are being considered.

The Elk Valley RCMP believe the two events are linked and are asking for witnesses who may have seen this vehicle to contact Elk Valley RCMP at 1-250-425-6233 and reference police file 2017-2920.
