Randall Hopley, subject of an Amber Alert and the man suspected of kidnapping three-year-old Kienan Hebert, was arrested in Alberta on Tuesday morning.

Hopley was reportedly arrested when he was found by a police dog team inside an abandoned cabin at a bible camp three kilometres from the B.C. border, in the town of Crowsnest Pass. Hopley was found at around 10 a.m. and was arrested after a short chase.

His car was found nearby, concealed in some way.

Hopley has been brought back into the province. Police believe he acted alone in the kidnapping.

At a press conference this afternoon, police thanked the public and media for helping to make the investigation successful.

They said they believed the quick identification of the suspect made it harder for him to leave the area, and assisted in his capture.
