RDEK gives $10,000 to Fernie Museum

The funds are for the organizational renewal of the museum

The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) has given the Fernie Museum a $10,000 grant from the RDEK Area A discretionary grant account to help support the organizational renewal of the museum.

Area A director, Mike Sosnowski recently handed over the grant to the museum in recognition of it6s role in preserving and sharing the history of the Elk Valley.

The organizational renewal project of the museum includes plans to improve the museum’s elevator accessibility, complete renovations to the building, the recruitment of new staff and the development of high-quality programming.
