Six grad students in Sparwood shared in the Blanc-Noir Photography Grad Giveaway this week.
Samantha Batten of Blanc-Noir Photography started the giveaway to recognise the hard work of Sparwood grad students who wouldn’t get to enjoy a typical graduation ceremony, and gathered donations and items from local businesses to give to some lucky students along with a photo-shoot.
Those who submitted a short essay on how they overcame the effects of the pandemic on their final year of school were considered for the giveaway.
“I felt strongly that they should all be rewarded. Hard work and effort pay off and they were all so so grateful,” said Batten.
“Congrats Grad class of 2021, we are all so proud of you!”
