Teck today announced the development of a new centralized office building in Sparwood, B.C.

The company explained in a release that the scope of the project is currently being developed but it is expected that construction will begin within the next two years. They further stated that consolidating support operations will provide synergies and build additional business value while supporting the company’s long-term commitment to continued and sustainable mining in the Elk Valley.

“Our commitment to building a new central office comes from a desire to better connect our employees, contractors and business partners, while strengthening our dedication to our local communities,” said Robin Sheremeta, Senior Vice President, Coal.

“We look forward to providing more information as the project develops.”
