The latest movie to be filmed in Fernie will be hitting the big screen at the Vogue Theatre starting tomorrow.
The film, titled 'The Movie Out Here', is a feature length promotional movie for Kokanee and showcases Fernie as a real place, rather than a fictional town. Featuring several local locations, including The Royal and Big Bang Bagels, production took place from September 12 to 16. The crew also spent time filming on Second Avenue and at Fernie Alpine Resort.
The Movie Out Here tells the story of Adam, an uptight Toronto lawyer, who goes back to his hometown of Fernie and tries to save his friend's business. Described as a romantic buddy comedy, the film features all of the favourite Kokanee characters like the Kokanee Ranger, the Glacier Girls, and of course, the Sasquatch.

The Movie Out Here will play at the Vogue Theatre Friday, March 1 through Thursday, March 7. Showings are at 7 and 9 p.m., plus a 3 p.m. matinee on Saturday and Sunday.
