Women and men donned sky-high stilettos and sprinted down Second Avenue last week, to raise money for cancer research.

There were 28 runners that participated in the first annual Heel2Heal race, including three men, and $500 was raised for the Snow Sisters Relay for Life team.

“The streets were lined with spectators,” said one of the event organisers, Melissa Fleischacker. “Our team total is currently $4,555 and counting.”
