Members of the Calgary Stampede float committee presented a cheque to Coal Miner Days organizer Renee MacCormack on the weekend.

Calgary Stampede float won best overall entry in the parade and donated their winnings back to the Sparwood Coal Miner Days Society.

Coal Miner Days took place on the weekend throughout Sparwood and featured events like bed races, a Dutch oven cook-off, a ball hockey tournament, and the parade.
