Elk Valley RCMP have charged two people from B.C. in what is believed to be a road rage incident that happened on August 1.

RCMP were called to a collision on Highway 3 between Fernie and Sparwood involving two pick up trucks.

Police attended and spoke to both drivers and learned that one driver was alleged to have been speeding excessively and passing unsafely while the other driver was alleged to have been trying to prevent the first driver from passing.

At one point the lead vehicle applied his brakes quickly without reason causing the vehicles too collide.

Only one vehicle needed to be towed from the scene however both drivers were charged under the Motor Vehicle Act and fined as a result of their actions.
