On January 18, The Nature Trust of B.C. hosted an appreciation lunch for a number of East Kootenay residents and representatives of environmental and wildlife conservation organizations that supported the latest conservation land securement project on Wigwam Flats.
“With the financial support received from these individuals and organizations, The Nature Trust will be able to successfully conclude the purchase of a small but important property on Wigwam Flats that supports a significant population of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep in this area,” said Rob Neil, The Nature Trust of B.C.’s Kootenay Conservation Land Manager.
