North Star/Tie Lake Recreation Site RFP25DRMS002
The Ministry of Environment and Parks, Recreation Sites and Trails BC invites proposals from parties interested in managing and maintaining fee-for-service recreation sites at Loon Lake and North Star/Tie Lake under a one year agreement with option to renew for up to four additional years (5 years total). The Ministry will arrange for General Comprehensive Liability Insurance for successful proponents at no cost. The intent is to:
Retain the site in public ownership.
Provide a safe, sanitary, and rustic public recreation opportunity.
Recover operational costs through overnight fees.
Requests for Proposals (RFP) can be obtained from Front Counter BC in Cranbrook (1902 Theatre Road) or through the contacts below starting March 12, 2025. A mandatory Proponents’ Meeting will be held on April 2, 2025, at 1pm MST at Tie Lake Recreation Site (for North Star/Tie Lakes RFP, and on April 3,2025 at 10am MST at Loon Lake Recreation Site (for Loon Lake RFP).
The proponent or representative must attend the meeting to be eligible for submitting a proposal. Proposals will be received until 4pm MST on April 24, 2025 at the addressed specified in the proposal package.
