Agnes Beaudoin
(1916 – 2010)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Agnes Helen Beaudoin (nee Benisky) on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at the Continuing Care facility of the Crowsnest Hospital.
Agnes was born June 20, 1916, in Fernie, British Columbia, to Michael and Mary Benisky. She married Peter Beaudoin in Fernie in November 1942, and all six of their children were born and raised there.
Mom had a passion for crocheting and created many beautiful doilies and tablecloths over the years. She had a talent for drawing and painting. She loved to read good books. Mom was an avid walker and her children enjoyed many nature walks and picnics with her. Mom was happiest when her large family gathered around on June 20th every year to celebrate another birthday.
Agnes will be lovingly remembered by her six children: Jean (Chuck) Blumenauer of Vernon, BC; Arlene (Gerry) Fiedler of Hillcrest, AB; Tom Beaudoin of Whitehorse, YK; Anne (Stafford) Wilson of Burmis, AB; Carol (Robert) McLeod of Lethbridge, AB; and Barb (Pat) Kelly of Coleman, AB; her eleven grandchildren: Pamela, Richard, Carrie, Michelle, Mark, Mindy, Tammie, Kelly, Becky, Erin and Brock; and her twenty-four great grandchildren.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1982.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at the Continuing Care Centre and to Dr. Botha and Dr. Garbutt for their kind and compassionate service to our mother.
At our mother’s request, there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for the late Agnes Beaudoin may be made to the CNP Health Foundation “Greatest Needs” (Bag 1, Blairmore, Alberta T0K 0E0).
