September 29, 1950 - November 27, 2021
It is with great sadness we are sharing that on Saturday, November 27, 2021, Allan Roy Krall took his final breaths.
Allan, aka "Beagen", was born on September 29, 1950 in Michel/Natal, BC which is where he spent his youth enjoying the great outdoors. After graduating high school in Fernie, Allan went on to do basic training and then to Halifax with the Navy where he met his wife of 47 years, Linda.
Allan and Linda spent a couple of years in Victoria, BC after their engagement before moving to Medicine Hat where they welcomed their two beautiful daughters. In 1981 they returned to Sparwood where they would raise their family, making it their forever home.
Beagen was a refrigeration mechanic for many years at the Greenhills mine before moving to Teck where he went back to school as "the world's oldest apprentice". He received his heavy-duty mechanic's ticket and continued he career with Teck until retirement.
Beagen lived for golfing and skiing, holding a membership at the Sparwood golf course for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, an active member of the local Legion, and a proud grandfather. Beagen enjoyed many golf trips to the USA with his wife Linda.
Beagen was very much a people person; he could easily strike a conversation with anyone and was happiest surrounded by friends and family. If he wasn't in one of his favourite spots around town, he could most definitely be found driving around in the bush getting firewood.
Allan was predeceased by his wife Linda, and parents Andy and Ethel Krall, all of Sparwood. He will be fondly remembered by his daughter Kristina (Chris) Meyer of Edmonton, AB and their boys Nathan and Nolan, and by his daughter Kimberley (Erik) Byman of Sparwood, BC and their children Greta, Anders, and Henrik.
He is also survived by his sister Arlene (Harold) Sigouin of Roberts Creek, BC and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
