SZEFEROWICZ:
Anna Szeferowicz passed away peacefully on November 13, 2010 at the age of 87. Anna was born in Nadiew, Ukraine on February 5, 1923.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters and three brothers,and is survived by one brother, Wassail of Nadiew, Ukraine. She was much loved by her godson Mike Scott, his wife Delilah and their family, her nieces, nephews and their families and the many friends that she had made.
Anna worked in many jobs but most notably as a nurse in England, Alberta and British Columbia. She worked for Fadear Creek Lumber Company and as an ambulance attendent after her “retirement”.
Anna spent many hours volunteering and helping others in the community. She was well known for her garden and she worked tirelessly to maintain her beautiful yard and home. Her wonderful sense of humour and her unfailing hope that tomorrow would bring something better sustained her through difficult times and was an inspiration to those who knew her.
A memorial for Anna will be held in Barriere B.C on December 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Barriere Seniors’ Center. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
