Arturo was born in Corbin, B.C. in 1931 to Mario and Margherita Tondini. Raised in Corbin, and later in Michel-Natal, where he graduated from high-school. He attended college at U.B.C. and graduated from Gonzaga University. He was a professional civil engineer which led him to work in places near and far in North America: B.C., Alberta, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, California, New Mexico, Up-State New York, Hawai’i, and as far off as Peru. In all pursuits he was a gentleman. He married Marlene Eberts of Sparwood in 1958. Together they raised their four boys. He had a life-long passion for cars. Arthur led the 1978 Corbin Reunion. No prouder citizen did Corbin produce. Arthur is survived by sons Rob, Gene, John and Gary and grandchildren Sarah, Jacob, Gianna and Alex. Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Marlene (Eberts). Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Sparwood, with Father Bart van Roijen Celebrant.
