ASHMORE:
On Saturday, July 22, 2017, Christopher James Ashmore passed away following a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 37 years. Chris was born in Fernie on March 5, 1980.
Chris is survived by his spouse Kari Olson with their children Taylor (7) and Brinley (3), his parents Howard and Paulette Ashmore, and his brother Jeff (Karmen). Also left to mourn his passing are his in-laws, Richard and Elmerna Olson, sister-in-law Trisha (Hedley), his brother-in-law Trevor (Tammy), and 7 nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his Grandpa Louie.
Chris was an avid golfer and a dedicated Edmonton Oilers fan. He was proud to be a Fernie local and family man. He will be very dearly missed by all who loved him. Rest in Peace, Chris. Your pain and suffering is over; let us draw on your courage to keep your memory alive.
A private memorial service was held. Friends are encouraged to celebrate Chris’ life in a way that is meaningful to them.
