Dolly Parma (Corolla) Jensen, 96, of Great Falls, MT died Monday May 23, 2011 at a local hospital from natural causes.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home and Crematory. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

Dolly was born June 17, 1914 in Ferni, B.C. Canada to Italian immigrants Antonio and Josephine Corolla who settled in Ferni in 1906. She grew up and attended school in Ferni. She was married to Rodger D’Amico and raised four children; Donna, Anthony, Ricky and Mary. Her hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping and ice skating. Her work at that time was taking care of the family store and was a caregiver to her mother that passed away at an early age in 1938. In 1956 Dolly moved to Las Vegas, NV and was wed to Albert Jensen and raised a son Albert.

She worked as a food waitress for over 30 years mostly in and around the downtown are in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget, Las Vegas Club, Golden Gate, Fremont, King Edward Hotel, 4 Queens, on the Strip at Topicana, Dunes, Hacienda and retiring from the El Cortez in the late 1970’s. She also told us she was too good to work at the El Rancho.

After retirement she moved around the country to be close to her children and lived in Lodi, CA, Reno, NV, Havre, MT, Missoula, MT and Great Falls, MT. She was an avid baker and an accomplished cook. For Christmas her friends and family would all get one of her famous fruit cakes and a tin of cookies.

Survivors include children Donna Ratliff of Lodi, CA, Anthony D’Amico, Ricky D’Amico,(Adrian Huckle), Mary D’Amico and Albert (Norma) Jensen. Grandchildren Pamela Williams, Danja Swinderll, Lynette Bandt, Serena Maier, Megan D’Amico, Anthony Jensen and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Dolly is preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Pete, sisters; Mary, Jessie, Ann and Anita. We all miss her quick smile and warm heart.
