In Loving Memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, Douglas Edward Lindley on August 18th, 2022.
Doug was born in Rossland B.C on December 3rd, 1956. He grew up throughout the West Kootenays with his mother (Lucie), Father (Bill) and his 3 brothers (Kelly, Joseph, and Ben).
Doug moved to the lower road in the elk valley with his family in 1968. He chose to reside in the elk valley for most of his life. He was a very personable man and lit up the lives of many people. Doug was a very talented artist and mechanic.
He was known to be in the garage. Working on one of the many muscle cars he had rebuilt in his lifetime or projects he had on the go.
Doug was a father to 4 daughters (Tanya, Adele, Kiara and Tianna) and later he became a grandfather to two beautiful grandchildren (Raelynn and Jayce).
Doug moved to Christina lake in 2007. There he rebuilt his grandmothers house and became very involved in gardening. While living in Christina Lake, Doug made a big impression on the many he had crossed paths with, always offered a helping hand with a smile and many laughs along the way.
He was predeceased by his Father (Bill), brother (Ben) and two sisters (Patsy and Sarrah).
Doug will be remembered for so many great things. From the cars he built, races he entered and rules he "bent" to the lives he's touched, friends he's made and family that loved him so much.
Doug had a life that should be celebrated. He lived his best life everyday. He accomplished more than most and left stories for generations to tell.
He left a footprint that will always be remembered and a love that will stay in our hearts.
Rest In Peace Dad.
His celebration of life will be announced at a later date and will be posted as soon as it is known.
