KLAPP, Elizabeth Jane:

It is with overwhelming sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of Elizabeth Jane Klapp on January 19, 2010 at the Winnipegosis Health Care Center at the young age of 56. Beth was survived by her loving husband of 34 years John, her mother Frances Ross, as well as daughter Jill and husband Andrew, son James and fiancée Jennifer, and youngest son Andrew and wife Candice. Beth was predeceased by her father David Ross, sister Lorraine Turnbull and brother David Ross. Beth will always live on in the laughter and joy of her grandchildren, Isabelle and Cass Klapp and Declan Pelletier. She is also survived by her supportive brother and sister in-laws and the nieces and nephews who adored her.

Beth was a gifted and meticulous craftsman. She specialized in quilts, gardening and pottery. She shared these passions with family and friends. Her endearing personality and natural gifts were evident in her family she devotedly served. Her most cherished moments were spent watching her children and grandchildren grow as well as supporting the many activities they were involved in. Encouragement, support and loyalty were her legacy as she influenced positive values and integrity in each of her children. Beth valued voice and encouraged her children to use them. Beth always maintained a strong relationship with Christ and it is this relationship which provided her with the greatest strength. Beth Klapp was the hearth of her family and it was her strength, commitment to life and survival which inspired not only her family but also the medical community who served her. Beth Klapp was proud, loyal, passionate, loving and a pillar of strength to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beth Klapp was an extraordinary wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother whose influence and inspiration only grows with time.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Knox United Church, McCreary, Manitoba. Interment followed at McCreary Municipal Cemetery with Beth Clark, DLM officiating.
