EVELYN PETERS
DEC. 22, 1924 – SEPT. 9, 2017
The loving family of Evelyn Peters said their last goodbye to her on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 during a private family service at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel”. Evelyn was born on December 22, 1924 in Gateway, Montana, moving to Canada in 1937.
Evelyn was the beloved wife of Gordon and greatly loved 6 children: Louis (Barb), Terry (Karren), and Sharron (Vic) of Fernie, Rick (Manon) of Stirling, AB, Lynne (Ron) of Lethbridge, AB, and Carol (Bob) of Birch Hills, SK, and was “Nana” to 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her mother and father, Roy and Lillian Oymer, her daughter-in-law Edith, and grandchildren Michael and Kari.
Evelyn spent many years as a volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society, and was a member of the Pythian Sisters and the Senior Citizen’s Drop In Center. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her loved ones.
