POPOWICH:
George Popowich passed away at the Calgary Foothills Hospital on June 8, 2010 at the age of 80. George was born April 26, 1930 at the family farm in St. Andrews, MB.
George is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Marian; his daughters Janine (Stewart) Tanton of Fernie, and Angela (Joe) Rokoratu of Fort St. James; his son Greg (Nicole) of Edmonton; grandchildren Jared, Kyle, Jocelyn, Pita, Benjamin, Christopher and Brandon; his brothers Steve (Gwen) f St. Andrews, MB, Stan of Fernie; sisters Eva (Dave) Beach of St. Andrews, MB, and Rose of Winnipeg, MB, and sister-in-law Anne of Selkirk, MB as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at the Mountainside Community Church on Monday, June 14th. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
