The family of Hayward Randell of Elkford, BC are saddened to announce his passing on September 29, 2019.
Hayward was born in Nippers Harbour, NL on August 16, 1941 to parents Ralph and Lily Randell. He was one of seven children.
Hayward married Doris, the love of his life, of January 28, 1964 and together they raised their two sons, Craig and Scott, as well as their daughter LorrieAnne.
Hayward spent his working life mining in Baie Verte, NL and in Elkford, BC. He and his family moved from Newfoundland to Sparwood, BC in 1982 and have continued to call the Elk Valley home.
Hayward was a kind, compassionate and generous man who was quick to lend a hand to any in need. He enjoyed camping, fishing, reading and spending time with his family and dear friends.
Hayward's deep faith is God carried him through the storms of life and to his final resting place in Heaven.
A life well lived, gone but not forgotten.
Hayward is survived by his wife Doris, 2 sons: Craig (Isabelle) Randell and Scott (Laurie) Randell, his daughter LorrieAnne (Kevin) MacLeod), 7 grandchildren: Zackary (Kynndra), Dylan (Cassie), Chase, Tristan, MacKenzie, Noah, and Amy, and by his great grandson Oliver. Also left to mourn his passing are sisters Marion Cramn, Helen (Ross) Lush and Una (Pleman) Starkes as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Edith Robinson and Marguerite Boone, and his brother, Rayfield Randell.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things will be gone forever."
