ASHMORE:
On Sunday, March 27, 2011 our beloved mother and grandmother, Jean Evelyn Ashmore passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital at the age of 87.
Jean was born to parents Bert and Elizabeth Sibbald in Banff, Alberta on November 26, 1923. As a young woman she served as Corporal with the Canadian Women’s Army Corp before settling into marriage and motherhood. A devoted wife and mother, Jean nurtured her growing family with unconditional love and support. Jean’s legacy will be forever cherished by those who loved her.
Jean is survived by 3 children: Bob (Rita), Howard (Paulette) and Ted (Ellen), 6 grandchildren: Robin, Lisa, Chris, Jeff, Jennifer and Scott, and 5 great grandchildren: Sunita, Joshua, Hunter, Jessica and Taylor. She was predeceased by her husband George Ashmore.
