Jeffery Andrew Wallace (Wally), age 45, died tragically in a motorcycle accident on July 28, near Canal Flats, in British Columbia.
Jeff is enormously missed by his beloved children Parker Rowan and Ada Azure; his partner-in-crime Michelle Senior; his loving parents Ron and Sherry; and his dedicated sister Michelle. He will be forever remembered by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and his many, many dear friends.
Born and raised in New Hamburg, Ontario, Jeff was surrounded by a large, tight-knit extended family. Because of this, Jeff had a rare combination of someone who had a deep love of life and a firm understanding of what was most important - his family, friends, and community.
After graduating high school he and his best friend moved to British Columbia to be ski bums as soon as they could. There were some detours along the way, but Jeff settled in Fernie as he was always at home in the mountains and loved every minute he spent outdoors here.
Jeff was a successful plumber/gas fitter with a thriving local business, he worked with many different tradespeople on projects throughout the Valley over the last 20 years; he was always so grateful for Fernie's community and the support it gave the business and his family.
A celebration of Jeff's life would inevitably be a large one as he was such a sociable, well-loved soul. Given the unprecedented time we are living in, the family has prioritized everyone's health. It is hoped that as time passes there will be an opportunity for us all to gather and share our fondest memories of Jeff.
Instead of flowers, please donate to the Go Fund Me "Remembering Jeff Wallace" which will provide funds for his children and partner as they try and put the pieces of their lives together without him. He was truly one of a kind and will be so very missed by us all.
