BARR:
John Cecil Barr passed away peacefully at the Rocky Mountain Village on Monday, August 9, 2010. He was 85 years old. Cecil, as he was known & loved, was born on the family farm in Saskatchewan on January 9, 1925. He was the fourth child of born to Eldon and Rhoda Barr.
Cecil is survived by his sister Emma Myers of Saskatoon, SK with her children and their families: Gordon, Cheryl, Dale and Milton, and two sisters-in-law: Phyllis Barr of Nanaimo and Tina Barr of Fernie with her children and their families: Eldon, Kim, April and Wayne, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Al, Florence, Mervin, and Walter.
No Funeral Services will be held at Cecil’s request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rocky Mountain Village, Ladies Auxiliary, 55 Cokato Rd. Fernie, BC V0B 1M4. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
