Doug Peck, 69, of Sparwood, BC, succumbed to cancer at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB surrounded by his family on January 23, 2018.  Born in Vancouver, BC to Bill and Mable Peck, he lived most of his life in Sparwood, BC.

Doug was a passionate member and volunteer of the BC Wildlife Federation (BCWF), or the "Fed" as he called it, for decades.  He was an avid camper and fly fisherman.  Doug loved to talk; he loved to tell stories, tell jokes, and engage in debates.  Man, he loved to talk!

Doug will be joining his son David Peck who passed away in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Delma, his son Bryan (Patricia) Peck, grandchildren Aloysia (6), Leopold (4) and Ruby (2), his sister Dawn (Andy) Anderson, and nephews Douglas Anderson, Michael Anderson, Paul Anderson and many other loving in-laws.

A special thank you to the many doctors, nurses and staff at the Foothills Hospital and Home Care team in Calgary and Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.  

The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Sparwood, BC.  Following the service, family and friends gathered at the Sparwood Legion for food, drinks and to share stories about Doug.
