On Friday, May 25, 2018, Juanita passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital following a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in St. Steven's, NB on March 21, 1955 to Merle and Ruby (nee Baxter) Cameron.
Juanita truly loved life and was happiest when she could be outside, spending time with family and friends in the places she loved most; the Elk Valley and Lake Koocanusa. She enjoyed many outdoor activities; quadding and hiking were among some of her favourites.
Juanita was very passionate about animals and especially loved elephants. She was a kind, thoughtful and loving woman who embraced all those around her. Juanita, you will be missed!
Juanita is survived by her children: Melissa, Bryce and Jared Seifrit, her husband Mark Baitley with his children: Kyle and Cody Baitley, her grandchildren: Cayden, Londyn, and Jamieson Baitley and Brian Jane, 4 brothers: Larry, Gary, Dwight and Greg Cameron, and her sister Rhonda Cameron as well as many nieces and nephews.
Also left to mourn her passing are parents-in-law Eleanor (Gary) Oake and Bob Baitley (Pam), and her brother-in-law Ralph (Michelle) Baitley.
Juanita's family extends their sincere appreciation to Dr. Tara Pigot and the staff at the Elk Valley Hospital for their wonderful care.
In honor of Juanita's love of animals, memorial donations may be made to the Cranbrook S.P.C.A.
