Lena Loewen was welcomed Home into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, July 1st, 2021.
She was 86. Lena was born in Aberdeen, Saskatchewan on January 30, 1935 to Henry and Annie Neufeld. Lena was one of 10 children; only 2 are still with us.
The family lived in Virgil, Ontario, where Lena grew up.
At a young age, Lena moved out west, where she met and married Henry Loewen on Sept. 29th, 1956. Together they raised 4 children on their farm in Elko, B.C., where they lived for almost 40 years. Wanda, Esther(Gary Mitchell), Luella (Dave Westlund), and Mark (former spouse Crystal).
Lena will also be missed by her grandchildren: Paul Westlund, Joelle (Matt), Keelaina, Aleida, and Tristan.
It would be remiss not to mention Mark's lovely friend, Connie Wickins, also missing our mother.
Lena connected with people from all walks of life, and was loved by so very many. Lena almost always had a pot of coffee on, and was always ready to "hear a good story".
Together, Henry Loewen and family reflect on the amazing wife and mother they were privileged to have known and to have had in their lives.
