Lorraine Bendicson

Lorraine Bendicson

Lorraine “Lou” Bendicson was born in Fernie on October 30, 1934 to parents Victor and Nolie Lalonde. Losing both her parents at a young age, Lou was raised by her brother and sister-in-law, Cecil and Muriel Lalonde until she married the love of her life, Dan Bendicson, at the age of 16. Together the couple shared 58 wonderful years together.

Lou enjoyed spending her summers at Loon Lake with her children. She would go to the lake in June when school got out and not return until early September. As a mother, Lou was always there to listen to her children’s hopes, dreams and fears with an open heart. To her grandchildren, Lou was the crazy, fun grandma who could make them laugh and smile with her imaginative stories. She brought laughter, sunshine and love to everyone she met and will be sadly missed.

Lou is survived by her husband Dan and their children: Gerald (Wendy) Cupples, Brian Cupples, Greg (Louise) Cupples, Shari Goddard (Tom), Danna (Andy) Burgess, Kevin (Mary Ann) Bendicson, and Jane (Larry) Lansing who are always considered a part of our family. She will also be missed by her grandchildren: Michael, Matthew, Jeremy, Terra, Sam, Bowdry, Breanna, Danny, Sarah, Ally, Jessica, Kyle, Geoffrey, and Caitlyn; great grandchildren: Jared &Kelsi, Carsyn & Colby, Cody, Caleb, Jonathan, Erica & Brian, Brenna, Bailey & Brooke, Logan & Delany, Bryce, Chase, Brittany & Trevor, Tala, Jagar, & Shelby, and Alyssa, Haileigh & Ashton as well as her brother Cecil Lalonde and her sister Doreen Bossio.
