KEMBALL:

It is with tremendous heartache that we announce the death of our beloved wife and mother, Lynn Laura Kemball. Following a 7 year battle with cancer, Lynn died peacefully at the Elk Valley Hospital on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the age of 54.

Lynn was born in Kimberley on July 19, 1956 to parents Roy and Laura Whitesel. Graduating from the Selkirk High School, Lynn went on to work as a key punch operator for 6 years until leaving the workforce, choosing instead to devote her time and talents to family life. A dedicated wife and mother, Lynn also gave back to her community. She contributed time to the Girl Guides of Canada, spending 15 years as a Group Leader and helped with Figure Skating events at the Elkford Arena. Lynn also enjoyed crafting, creating countless projects shared with friends and family, and evenings out with her bowling league. An active, vibrant woman who gave selflessly of herself, Lynn has left a wonderful legacy to be treasured by those who loved her.

Lynn will be dearly missed by her husband Les, her beautiful daughters Robyn and Lindsay Kemball and her precious grandson Carter Steer. Lynn is also survived by siblings Martin (Kathy) Whitesel, Lois (Mickey) MacDonald, and Patti (Jerry) Dolan as well as many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her father Roy in 1992 and her mother Laura in 2006.

A Memorial Service celebrating Lynn’s life was held at Cherished Memories “Serenity Chapel” on Saturday, November 6th with Kay Bottolfson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Elkford Red Cross, P.O. Box 250, Elkford, BC, V0B 1H0. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
