(Richard) Lynn Caul passed away peacefully on April 16, 2016 at the age of 71. Born April 23, 1944 in Fort Frances Ontario, Lynn moved to Sparwood from Atikokan Ontario in 1970.

Lynn was the owner/operator of Sparwood Decorating Services Ltd for the next 30 years. He loved painting and took great pride in his work. He painted much of the mine equipment currently in use, was the first to paint the Terex Titan and many of the old mine artifacts on display around Sparwood today. By his side, his painting partners included his wife Muriel Stickney, his son in law Richard Veldman, his step son Leigh Stickney and dear friend Tracy Palmer. They all attest to this day, that any time they are painting, they can hear Lynn “encouraging” them to do a good job. Lynn loved animals and always cared for a number of pets including cats, dogs, fish, birds and rabbits. He enjoyed country music and was often the first one onto the dance floor.

Lynn is survived by his three daughters Lesley, Ronda and Shenanda, his sister Lilian, His brothers Donny and Dean, his five grandchildren, Richann, James, Brenden, Danika and Henry. Finally, Lynn is survived by his best friend, soul mate and loving wife Muriel Stickney.

We would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at Rocky Mountain Village for their great care and support in Lynn’s final days.

A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at the Royal Canadian Legion in Sparwood BC from 2 pm – 4 pm. Memorial donations will made to the S.P.C.A. in Lynn’s name.
