HARASYN, MARGARET (ERECHOOK)
MARCH 6, 1925 to AUGUST 31ST, 2011
"FOREVER LOVED … FOREVER REMEMBERED"
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
our beloved mother Margaret Harasyn on August 31, 2011
in Fernie, B.C. surrounded by her loving family.
Mom was born on March 6, 1925 in Port Arthur, Ontario and was
the third daughter of Doris & Nicholas Erechook. On June 2, 1940
she married the love of her life Delco Harasyn. They spent their early
years in Beardmore, Ontario where they owned and operated
“The Delmar Restaurant” & later “The Blue Parrott Restaurant”
in Thunder Bay, Ontario before moving to British Columbia.
Mom was predeceased by her parents Doris & Nicholas
Erechook, and her loving husband Delco Harasyn and her
three sisters, Elsie, Pauline & Stella & older brother Lawrence.
Mom is survived & will be forever missed by her five children
Susan (Frank McEvoy) of Vancouver, Candace Grey (Frank Hughes),
of Fernie, Richard Harasyn of Vancouver, Delwin (Janice) Harasyn
of Thunder Bay, Ontario & Grant (Shelley) Harasyn, of Vancouver,
grandchildren, Delco & Ben McEvoy, Jason Andreola, Tammy,
Nicky, Richard, Jennifer, Justin, Maggie & Kyle, and her great
grandchildren Montana & Hunter, and many nieces & nephews.
Mom is also survived by her older brother Nester Erechook of Wawa,
Ontario, youngest sister Virginia (Hank Stecheson) of Powell River,
and sister-in-law Joanna (Cassie) Pearson of Emerson, Manitoba.
Mom will be especially missed by her puppy and best friend Buddy.

not enough words to say how much she will be truly missed."
